WIForum Resurrection

This post about the WIForum Resurrection is a story about resilience, Covid-19, AI, Purpose, and the quest to understand human progress and development.

Covid-19 Experence

COVID-19 threw us back to square one. There were no events, no meaningful support, no startups, and no innovation in the industry. Locked down, the team played with innovative methods, innovative solutions, and new ways to stimulate innovation. The outcome: In 2021, we built a prototype of an Innovation Development Solution leveraging Open AI GPT 3, the version before GPT 3.5 for ChatGPT in 2022. While working with GPT-3 was painful, it gave us an indication of what AI, in particular Generative AI, could be in the future. We did some webinars, helped some startups individually, but WIForum, as it was before, was grounded. In November 2022, ChatGPT and the new API had a significant impact on us. Still partly handicapped, we, the founders of WIForm, focused on building BlueCallom, a new Enterprise AI company.  It consumed all our energy and interest.

We experimented with different ideas, including organizational innovation, political innovation, and societal innovation. With the help of AI, we even worked on a political innovation that should help eradicate global wars. We were taking the concept of the strategy book “Art of War”, and applied it to a strategy book “Art of Peace”. The outcome was not a lovely idea of how to be all nice to each other, but accepting conflicts, yet rejecting manufactured global wars. The book is available at AMAZON, MEDIMOPS, and others.

Resurrecting the World Innovations Forum

Our Innovation Development System became increasingly intelligent and eventually was redesigned as a native Agentic AI Solution. The power of this system was almost shocking to us. In 2024, we turned it into the first “Autonomous Innovation Development System” and won the German Innovation Award 2024.

With the thriving BlueCallom, we decided to resurrect the World Innovations Forum.  Knowing that nothing will be like it was, we also re-imagined the World Innovation Forum’s purpose, how we will operate, and how we will organize the forum in general. One thing that did not change at all was our purpose. Moreover, we made it stronger and clearer than we did in the beginning. On the other hand, we had been too ambitious with our offering, which could have been understood as a competition to consulting firms and educators. And given the resources we had, it was too much to do right anyway. Three major steps we made:

  1. A member-driven organization
  2. Focus on Innovation in various shapes and flavors
  3. Helping nations to become independent through innovative entrepreneurship

We are neither a status organization nor an elite circle. We are here to create an impact.

Action Plan 2025/2026

  1. Q3 2025 – Rebuilding the community
Attracting members who see a significant value in building the new WIForum
  2. Q1 2026 – Building a voluntary leadership team
Attracting leaders or a ‘near leaderless’ organization
  3. Q2 2026 – Exploring meaningful programs and events
Creating programs, events, and initiatives that help nations to catch up and leading nations to not ruin their strength by protecting what they have, but investing in what humanity will need in the future.
  4. Q3 2026 – Helping nations to embrace innovation in the interest of humanity
Humanity has reached a point where everybody must recognize that the gift of innovative thinking has not only allowed us to survive for 5 million years but is also nature’s best bet to sustain Intelligent Life beyond the lifespan of our planet.
