Opening Keynote WIForum Agenda 2030Equal Prosperity 2030 Throughout history, the purpose of innovation was highly questionable, driven by extraordinary people with unimaginable economic results. In the 1880’s Germany was poor and did not need an automobile. In the same time period, Switzerland was the poorest country in Europe and did not need a Railroad. In the 1900′, the US west coast was a poor farmland and did not need a high tech industry. In the 1990’s South Korea and in the 2010’s Africa. This decade will be a defining time period for most emerging countries but also for the developed world. Innovation will be seen across the planet. And that innovation will no longer come from the old sources but from the world. There will be more innovative and prosper nations by 2030 than ever before imaginable. |
