Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE) is one of Nepal’s leading hospitality colleges. Located in Mandikhatar, Kathmandu, it is the first college in Asia to provide a Swiss degree. Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE) was started in May 2007 and has since been a pioneer exploring, developing, providing and enhancing the Hospitality & Tourism Education in Nepal.

GATE is committed to impart the knowledge with an emphasis on both practical and theoretical learning to help the students to manage, develop and promote tourism and hospitality industry. The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts is a university of applied sciences that is supported by the six cantons of Central Switzerland. With 6,500 students attending bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes, almost 4,400 students attending continuing and executive education programmes, and 459 new projects in research and development, it is the largest educational institution in this region, the heart of Switzerland.

HOPin Academy set out in 2013 to curb the menace of rural urban migration in Northern Ghana and also reduce the rate of youth unemployment. They were on a mission to reduce the rate of poverty drastically. They believed the key solution to all of these problems was and still is Entrepreneurship and since then they have been using entrepreneurship as a driving tool to solve these problems.

They are an innovation hub providing goal-oriented, practice-oriented learning for young people harnessing technology. Their programs cover entrepreneurship, digital communication, Information Technology, video production, and business consultancy. As a social enterprise, they reinvest profits made through business consultancy and collaborative projects in empowering young people to realize their potential by providing a space for learning, idea generation and development of a startup entrepreneurial Eco-system as means of contributing to sustainable development. They are also engaged in educational innovation to ensure that entrepreneurship becomes part of the core subjects within Basic Schools in Ghana.

Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC) connects smart money investors to Swiss seed and early-stage tech startups. SICTIC is a non-profit association, which has a strong investor community and organises the deal flow and matchmaking of startups and investors online and at pitching events.

Following the success of VTS 2018 tourism start-up program with the successful incubation of emerging startups such as: VEO project has invested capital from Shark Thuy 5.7 billion, Liberzy project calls technology capital 2 billion and developed over 160k users for nearly 2 years. In addition, many successful projects were started with ideas such as Hue Lotus, Adei House, Tra Vinh Khmer Cultural Village, UCom …. Songhan Incubator continues to expand the program of Start-up Tourism Innovation and VTS 2019 with a national scale in 3 major areas: North (Hanoi), Central (Da Nang), and South (Ho Chi Minh City). with a series of incubation, accelerating, start-up investments and international affiliate programs, promising great breakthrough opportunities to create innovative start-up businesses with new products and services , new markets and new driving forces for Vietnam’s tourism industry.
